What the fuck is this?

“No More Faggots” articulates a world where desire is divorced from gender and identity. It reaches its ambitious aims by discussing the intersection of (queer) cultural matter and meaning. E.Y. Washington, faggot-in-residence, will proffer monthly essays replete with jarring advice and unpalatable insights. Their work resists homo/hetero-normativity and reveals delightfully queer alternatives in the process. Subscribe today!

Why waste my money?

Every time an author writes down an idea, it dies, right there on the page. It will, god-wiling, come running back to life if a reader picks it up. “No More Faggots” isn’t exempt from such a miraculous, literary resurrection. And yet, its liveliness requires more than just readership. Each essay requires space, security, peace, quiet, and time: all luxuries money can buy. If it is within your means, the work (and its author) would appreciate your verdant resurrecting power. No need to gouge you; $5 a month will do.

Who the hell is writing this?

E.Y. Washington is a Black writer, reader, actor, and astrologer living in Southern California.

They use negation, rejection, and critique to create Queer alternatives to life's most pressing problems.

They pointedly do so by writing this substack, pushing Queer books, and publishing astro-anthologies. They’re fortunate because they are not alone: they belong to a lineage that spreads laterally like a sentence.
